Bebenhausenis located in Schönbuch, not far from Tübingen. The main train station in Tübingen is 6.5 km away; there is a bus line connecting Bebenhausen with Tübingen and Stuttgart. It is worth seeing the centre of the village, including the former Cistercian abbey of 1187 with a triple ringwall and a chapel. The area was later used as a hunting lodge by the kings of Württemberg and it served as a retirement home for the last royal couple after their abdication.
Bühlis located in the Neckar valley across from the chapel of Wurmlingen, about 6 km south west of Tübingen. The village is connected with the local city transport; access to the German autobahn 81 Singen – Stuttgart is about 12 km away. Besides the well-conserved historical centre with the Renaissance chateau, it is worthwhile visiting the nature reserve Bühlertal and the Hauser Farmer's Museum.
Hagellochis located amidst fruit orchards at the southern border of Schönbuch, about 5 km north west of the centre of Tübingen. The village is connected with the local city transport, and can be reached from the federal road B 28 direction Herrenberg via county road K 6914. The train station "Tübingen Main Station" is 6 km away. Good restaurants are inviting destinations during hikes through Schönbuch.
Hirschauis located at the edge of the Spitzberg nature reserve, about 6 km away from Tübingen. Bus connections run to Tübingen and Rottenburg. The modern St. Ägidius church and the pilgrimage church "Zu unserer lieben Frau beim Holderbusch und St. Urban" at the cemetery as well as the "Riedkelter" (grape and fruit press) are all worthwhile stops. "Spitzberg" has unique flora and fauna. A footpath leads to the Wurmlingen chapel which Ludwig Uhland praised in several songs.
Kilchbergis located at the foot of the "Rammert" nature reserve in the Neckar valley about 5 km west of Tübingen. Every half hour an ÖPNV bus runs between Kilchberg and Tübingen. The distinctive tower of the Kilchberg Chateau overlooks the village center. Some of the landmarks of the village include the chateau, the church which is over 500 years old, and a Celtic burial mound with graves dating back to the Hallstatt era.
Lustnauis one of the largest districts in Tübingen and is served by local city transport. The village-like character has remained in the historic centre. At the painter Karl Betz's birthplace a museum of local history has been established. The 15th century building which originally belonged to the castle of Lustnau, has been registered as cultural monument since 1996.
Pfrondorfis located at the border of the Schönbuch nature reserve, about 6 km north east of Tübingen. The nearest train station is Tübingen and every 15 minutes a bus runs to Tübingen. This district, located on a plateau above the Neckar river offers great views to the Swabian Alb. The oldest building in Pfrondorf is the so-called Schneckenhof (grange snail) was built in 1495. It was named for the spiral staircase winding up on the outside of the building.
Unterjesingenis located about 6 km west of Tübingen on the southern edge of Schönbuch. The so-called Ammertal train connects with Tübingen and Herrenberg. Numerous vineyards on the southern slopes are evidence of the old local viniculture tradition. The museum of local history is located at the Rosecker Kelter (vine press), built in 1784, including a historic manor. The late Gothical parish church Sankt Barbara is also worth seeing.
Weilheimis located about 3 km south of Tübingen in the Neckar valley. Every half hour a bus runs to Tübingen. The appearance is characterized by an almost 100 m long row of barns together, the Nikomedes church built around 1500 and the rectory. Chateau Kreßbach and Eckhof area on the Lias Plateau of Rammert. In 1985 a menhir (Weilheimer Stele) was found and gives evidence of connections between Neckar region, alpine region and upper Italy during the Early Bronze Age.
