Ducal Barn (Fruchtkasten)

 
Ducal Barn (Fruchtkasten) One of the oldest and most beautiful examples of architecture in Tübingen, in Alemanic timber framing construction of the late 15th century. Since September 2003 services for citizens are located in this building, which is classified as an historical preservation site. Behind the social welfare office one can find a hand with a small loaf of bread – as a symbol of feeding of the poor – and the sign of the hospital which had wealthy property in Tübingen and surrounding area.
