Tübingen offers a wide range of activities. Various cultural events; shopping excursions in the historical center of town; visits to taverns, pubs and restaurants of different nationalities are some favorite free time undertakings which visitors enjoy most in Tübingen.

 

Green oases like the Old Botanical Garden or the plane tree alley on the Neckar Island invite you to relax. If  you are up to a more acitve treat you can always take a boat ride in a "Stocherkahn" – typical boat of Tübingen - along the Neckar. Or enjoy a short stroll uphill to the Hohentübingen castle towering the old town. From there you might spot the next place for an excursion. Tübingen is in the midst of an extraordinary green environment with a well developed net of hiking and biking trails.
