Trips around Tübingen

Tübingen’s surroundings offer many opportunities for day trips. The Wurmlingen Chapel is a beloved hiking destination which once inspired Ludwig Uhland.  On the northern edge of the city is the of the Schönbuch Nature Park. The Hohenzollern Castle, about 25 kilometers from Tübingen, provides a lovely example of neo-Gothic defensive architecture. Also worth a visit is the Lichtenstein Castle. The nearby Swabian Alb is ideal for longer trips into nature.
